ARMANDO R. MONDAY, JR. of Broadview Heights, OH passed away peacefully at home at the age of 74 and entered into heaven on Sunday, May 2, 2021 after a 2-year battle with cancer.  Armando was born on May 25, 1946 in Bedford, OH to the late Armando and Mildred (nee Darr).  Armando was a 1964 graduate of Bedford High School, a Naval Air Vietnam War veteran, and an electrician by trade with Local 38 IBEW.

Armando will be forever cherished by his beloved wife of 54 years, Carolyn (nee Cola), and his beautiful daughters: Kelly (Dave) Longhorn and Dawn (Jack) Price.  He was a wonderful, Papa, to his 8 loving grandchildren: Tyler (27), Lindsey (21), Kyle (20), Maddison (13), Payton (12), Jack (11), Sarah (9), and Katelyn (7).  Also cherishing his memory is his brother, Gary (Debbie) Monday, and preceding him in death was his youngest brother, Jay (Jan) Monday, who he will be joining in heaven to fish together once more. He was a beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews as well.  Armando enjoyed cooking (especially meatballs with his grandchildren), fly fishing at Rocky River, hunting, and watching his favorite Cleveland Sports Teams.  But more importantly, he loved spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren whenever possible.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, May 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. John Funeral Home, 923 Broadway Ave, Bedford, OH 44146. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Chad DeWeerd, will be held on Thursday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  A final salute with military honors will follow at Bedford Cemetery.  (Wearing of masks and social distancing will be observed at the funeral home and cemetery).
