CATHERINE (Cathy) M. WETZEL (nee Flaherty), age 89, of Twinsburg passed May 25, 2022.  Beloved wife of Eugene F. Wetzel (deceased); loving mother of Mary Ellen Volpe (John), Theresa Mallinak (Michael), Jennifer Colarusso (Angelo), Theodore (Renee), Robert (Karen), Daniel (Angela), and Paula Thompson (Douglas); cherished grandmother of Emily (Michael), Audre (Kevin), Jason (Katie), Monica (Kyle), DeAnna (Jeremy), Natalie, Julia, Benjamin, Anthony, Nicholas, Christina (Eric), Robert (Holly), Timothy (Jen), Matthew (Hannah), Theodore, Samuel, Katharine, Colin, and Megan. Great-grandmother of eleven. Dear sister, aunt, and friend to many.  Catherine was a long-time and active parishioner at St. Pius X, Bedford and then St. Rita, Solon. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 1, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 32820 Baldwin Road, Solon, Ohio 44139.  Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Northfield.  A luncheon will follow at Gambitta’s Party Center, Northfield Center.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in her name to a charity of your choice.
