Charles Bruno

Charles Bruno, 75, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, while at home surrounded by family. Charles (born Calogero Bruno) was known by most as Chuck. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Christine (Vozar) Bruno; devoted children, Nicki (Mick) Guistino; Mandy (Marc) Yannucci; Vince (Michaley Adkins); adoring grandchildren Dominic, Ava and Joey; loyal siblings Biagina (August, deceased) Piscitello and Mike (Mary); sister & brother-in-law Laurel Novak, and Robin (Mary) Vozar; cousin and best friend Tony Lupica; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Mercurio and Maddalena (Gambino) Bruno; in-laws, Robert and Patricia (Arunski) Vozar. Chuck was born on January 22, 1948, in Militello Rosmarino, Sicily. He immigrated to Cleveland, OH with his parents and sister in 1950. His love of family can be attributed to growing up constantly surrounded by relatives who also immigrated to the U.S. As a teenager, Chuck worked at Alesci’s Italian Imports, a job he really enjoyed and reminisced about often. In 1974 Chuck began a 30+ year career with Cintas, where he made many lifelong friends. He helped countless people through his mentoring and by providing many employment opportunities. Traveling, especially to Las Vegas, playing cards, golfing, and driving his Corvette were some of the things Chuck enjoyed. However, spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids brought him the most joy. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 28th , 2023 at 10:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am with Fr. Joshua Trefney as celebrant. For out of town family & friends, mass will be live streamed.
