David Lee Hudec

David Lee Hudec, age 67, of Bedford. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Barth); loving father of Ashley (Kipling) Liptok, Nicole (James) Contini, Courtney (Ken Sublett) Hudec, Melinda (John) Jancsurak, and Samantha Osborn; dearest grandfather of Nadia, Zoe, Natalie, Armani, Giovani, Jay and Sophia; dear brother of Scott (Bev) Hudec, Dale (Laura) Hudec, and Jason (Amy) Scragg; cherished son of the late John (Patricia Scragg) and late Evelyn (late Lester Reuse) (nee Ianetti). Veteran, U.S. Navy. David worked for Aviation Product Support for many years before joining Sherwin-Williams, where he retired early. A talented artist, Dave had a passion for creating beautiful works of art from titanium, showcasing both his creativity and craftsmanship.

One of Dave’s greatest passions was fishing, a pastime he loved sharing with family and friends. He also had a remarkable green thumb and took great pride in maintaining a beautiful garden and yard, which he enjoyed sharing with those he loved.

Above all, Dave cherished his family. He never missed an opportunity to talk about his children and grandchildren, of whom he was incredibly proud. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Nancy, for 28 wonderful years. Nancy will forever treasure the love, laughter, and memories they shared together.

Dave never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, about just anything, leaving people feeling like lifelong friends. His kindness, warmth, and genuine interest in others touched countless lives.

A faithful servant of God, Dave served for many years as a Deacon and Trustee at Walton Hills Church of Christ. His unwavering faith, generous spirit, and dedication to his church and community will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Friends and family are welcome to St. John Funeral Home, 923 Broadway Ave, Bedford, OH 44146 on Friday, July 24 from 4 P.M. – 7 P.M. Funeral services Saturday, July 25 at the Walton Hills Church of Christ, 7166 Dunham Rd., Walton Hills, OH 44146 at 11 A.M. Burial Bedford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to Holy Family Hospice Center, 6707 State Rd, Parma, OH 44134 or Walton Hills Church of Christ, 7166 Dunham Rd, Walton Hills, OH 44146 in memory of Dave.
