EDWARD J. LYZEN, age 97, of Walton Hills.  Beloved husband of the late Stella E. (nee Wojtowicz) for 62 years; loving father of Kathleen Springer (Joseph), Larry (Mary) and James (Joan); dearest grandfather of Michael (Lisa Newland), Jon, David (Jessica), Matthew (Kasie), Nathan (July), and Rachel Gallik (James); dear great grandfather of Karli, Jacob, Collin, Christian, Evie and Brandon; brother of Frank Lyzen and the following deceased:  Sylvester “Bud”, Joseph, Sophie Kavlich and Lillian Bugajski.  Veteran, U.S. Navy, WWII.  Ed was a co-founder of Melzer Carpet in Garfield Hts., past President of Garfield Hts. Rotary and a 60 year resident of Walton Hills.  Friends received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY AVE., BEDFORD, (ONE MILE WEST OF THE FORBES-BROADWAY EXIT OF I-271), FRIDAY, SEPT. 11 FROM 4 – 8 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M.  Services, Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10:00 A.M. followed by burial at All Saints Cemetery.  (Masks required and social distancing observed).  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
