EDWARD V. TREAT, age 70, passed away in Bedford, Ohio, on April 7, 2020.  Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Hardink) for 45 years; loving father of Laura (Chris) Reilly, James and Nicholas (Shannon) Treat; dearest papa of Keira, Braden, Gavin and Rowan Reilly and Ethan and Evan Treat; dear brother of Mary Agnes Sowul, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.  A coach, educator, umpire and friend, Edward was active in the St. Mary (Bedford), St. Peter Chanel High School and Bedford business communities.  A Paul Harris Fellow of the Bedford Rotary, Edward served as Finance Director at St. Peter Chanel High School.  Previously, he worked in financial positions at Lord Corporation, Seagrams Distillers, Eaton Corp. and Luria Brothers.  After Chanel’s closing in 2013, he worked part-time at the St. Vincent DePaul Society of the Cleveland Diocese.  Edward graduated from St. Peter Chanel High School in 1966 and earned his accounting and MBA degrees from Cleveland State University.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, private Catholic burial was held for Edward.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edward’s memory are suggested to The St. Peter Chanel Foundation, 1931 Georgetown Rd. #212, Hudson, OH 44236.  (St. John Funeral Home of Bedford 440-232-1155)
