With very heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frank L. Wargo, who left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on May 11, 2026. Born on September 18, 1931, in Westville, Illinois. Frank's life was filled with love, dedication, and a spirit that touched all who had the privilege to know him.

Frank was the beloved son of George and Mary (Sarosi) Wargo, who preceded him in death, along with his siblings Mary, Marget, George, Steve, and Jolan. Frank is survived by his wife Joyce of 67 years and their three children, James (Sally) Wargo, Sheri Wargo and Cindee (Darren) Sobey. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kristin (Kiel) Owens, Karyn Wargo, Amanda Wargo, Marra (Louis) Catalani, Tess (Jason) Tibbs, Connor (Sonny) Sobey and Carson Sobey along with great grandchildren; Andrew, Charles, Olivia Owens and Louis “Frankie” Catalani. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the memories they created together during his lifetime.

Frank's journey of education led him to graduate in Hungary, a place that enriched his life with knowledge and experiences that he carried forward. His sense of duty and love for his country led him to serve honorably in the U.S. Air Force, a period of his life that he recalled with pride and gratitude.

His career as a carpenter for Republic/LTV Steel was marked by dedication and craftsmanship, culminating in a well-deserved retirement in 1993. Frank's handiwork and meticulous attention to detail were evident in every piece of wood he shaped and every structure he built, leaving a lasting legacy of skill and passion.

A man of deep faith, Frank was an active member of the First Hungarian Reformed Church. His involvement and commitment to his church community were unwavering, and he found great joy and solace in the fellowship and spiritual guidance he received there.

Frank was a man of simple pleasures, most notably his love for tending to his vegetable garden. He took great joy in sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends, a testament to his generous spirit and the nurturing nature that defined him. Additionally, his passion for woodworking allowed him to create beautiful pieces for his family, each imbued with love and skill.

Friends and family are welcome to The First Hungarian Reformed Church, 14530 Alexander Road, Walton Hills, OH 44146 on Monday, May 18th beginning with a 9:00 AM coffee hour in Bethlen Hall. A viewing will be held in the church at 10 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. In accordance with Frank's wishes, a private burial ceremony will be held to honor his life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the First Hungarian Reformed Church, 14530 Alexander Road, Walton Hills, OH 44146 in Frank's memory.

Frank L. Wargo's life was a tapestry of love, service, and craftsmanship. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the many lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. His family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.
