James J. Page, age 84, passed away on October 4, 2026. He was a long-time resident of Auburn Township and worked as an insurance claims adjuster for Nationwide Insurance. Jim was a proud Navy veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Operation Deep Freeze in Antartica. He was an active member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Newbury and was a member of the South East Harley Davidson Chapter. Jim loved his farm animals (especially his goats) and enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, coaching his son’s sports teams, scouting, and working with St. Helen youth groups. In 1976 for the Bicentennial he greeted the cross-country wagon train on his horse Diablo, welcoming them to Auburn Township. He devoted himself to serving others.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Patricia; children Jim Page (Editha), John Page, and Jo Ann Papa (Keith); and granddaughters Clair, Riley, Lexi, Abby, Zsofia, and Olivia.
