Jerry P Tarczy

Jerry Paul Tarczy, a beloved family member, peacefully passed away on August 6, 2026. Born in Cleveland on February 16, 1946, Jerry was survived by his cherished wife, Elsie (nee DeSantis), and two sons, Matthew (Michelle) and Jeremy (Rachel). He was also the proud grandfather of Jake and Meredith. Jerry was the cherished son of Mary and Alex Tarczy (both deceased) and the brother of Kenneth Tarczy (Janie) and uncle to Kenny Allen (Kimiko) and Brian Tarczy. He graduated from Orange High School in 1965 and later attended John Carroll University. Throughout his career, Jerry worked as a computer technician at Air Maze and North American Rockwell. In 1978, he founded Data Security, a business that provided computer technology services, data storage, and document shredding for over two decades. Jerry was an avid skier, fisherman and hunter, finding solace and joy in these pursuits. He skied the slopes of Vermont, Colorado, and British Columbia. Jerry’s cabin in Tidioute, Pennsylvania, nestled along the Allegheny River, was his favorite retreat. Closer to home, he could often be found in his canoe, fishing at East Claridon.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Jerry’s funeral services at the Church of the Resurrection, 32001 Cannon Rd, Solon, OH 44139 on Saturday, August 15, where a visitation will take place from 12:30 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 P.M. Cremation to follow.
