John (Jack) Anderson Miller, age 82, of Novelty Ohio passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2023. Beloved husband of his high school sweetheart Karen Miller (nee Bundus). Survived by his son John G. Miller (Michelle); daughter Amy Brewer (Phil); grandchildren Nicholas & Elizabeth Brewer, Sarah & Gregory Miller; sister Ann Sperry (nee Miller); nieces Martha Stafford, Jennifer Murray, Denise Manak and nephew David Ladd.
Jack grew up in Munson Township (Chardon High School) and lived in Chesterland before moving to Novelty. He started his career at BF Goodrich after completing IBM Computer training and finished his career as a Materials Manager at Preformed Line Products.
Jack drove an ambulance for Trask Funeral Home in 1964 and later became a volunteer fireman in Chesterland serving his community alongside his brother-in-law, Keith Sperry (deceased).
He was a collector of antiques and toys which was emphasized by the sign in his garage “the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys”. He appreciated cars and joined the July 4th parades in his 1930 Ford Model A, 1965 Mustang convertible, and 1950 F1 Ford green pickup truck.
With a gregarious and fun loving personality, Jack approached life with vigor and compassion. Together, Jack and Karen enjoyed music, boating on Lake Erie and the Ohio River, and traveling across the country in their Motorcoach with their Emerald Necklace Winnebago International Travelers Club.
The family will have a private burial at Lake View Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at Orchard Hills Banquet Center on December 2, 2023, 3:00-6:00 pm at 11414 Caves Rd, Chesterland.
