John E. Schmitt

JOHN E. SCHMITT, age 87 of Aurora and formally of Pittsburgh. Beloved husband of Judith (nee Whiteshot); loving father of Suzanne (the late Dana) Swain, Kirk (Julia) Schmitt, and Christine (Jason) Schoaf; one of eleven children; cherished grandfather of Mason, Madeline, Morgan, Tatum, and Slater. John was a hard worker who enjoyed gardening and he was a master craftsman specializing in woodwork. He was an endearing family man who rooted for the Steelers and Penguins and loved watching his grandchildren compete in sports. John always had a good sense humor and many unforgettable sayings including “Give’em a good hosin.” Private family services.
