John Heraghty,  age 90, of Chagrin Falls, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21st.  Preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth, his sister Ann, and brothers Patrick, Eddie, Jimmy, and Michael “Mickey”.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Maureen, his five children Johnny, James (Gail), Kevin, Nancy (Mike) Michaud, Tricia (Todd Brewer).  The proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren: Tom, Caitlin, Conor, Bryan, Patrick, Michael, Lauren, Mary, Jennifer, and great-grandson, Harrison.

John was a dedicated, well respected, hard-working member of the Cleveland Plumbers Union, Local 55, Smith & Oby for over 30 years.  He also did countless plumbing jobs for his large family!

In recent years, John enjoyed spending time with his Bainbridge Heinens’ coffee group, as well as spending time with his family.  John was deeply loved by his family and will be dearly missed by many.  He will be forever remembered for his kindness, generosity, wisdom, dedication as a father and grandfather and especially for his sense of humor.  A special thank you to his kind neighbors for always looking out for him as well as to the amazing staff at Blossom Hill in Huntsburg.  All services private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to John’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).   God Bless.  (Arrangements by St. John Funeral Home of Bainbridge Twp., 440-708-1855)
