JUDITH A. AMBERG KLUCHAR, age 81, of Bainbridge Township, died peacefully on Aug. 1, on the 61st wedding anniversary with her loving husband, Rich. Born Aug. 23, 1938, to Dr. Edward (Ruth) and Adelaide Amberg of Toledo, Judy met the love of her life, Rich Kluchar, on a blind date while attending The Ohio State University. They were married in 1959 and were best friends. She taught school in Burton until the first of her three children was born. In addition to her husband, Richard, she is survived by son John Kluchar of Bainbridge Twp., and daughters Julie (Kevin) Munnings and Jo Ellen Kluchar of Florida; four grandchildren, Calli Ferraro, Jamie Kluchar, Jake Munnings and Summer Munnings, and one great grandson, Nicholas Ferraro, and many nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John Amberg and Edward Amberg. Judy loved playing bridge and tennis, hiking, kayaking and traveling. She had many friends she lovingly called “The Crazy Ladies,” as well as friends in A Course in Miracles. Due to COVID-19, funeral services will be private, with a celebration of life service to be held at a later date.
