Lillian F. Williams

Lillian Ferne Williams (nee Washabaugh) age 90 of Macedonia, OH went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2023. Lil was born in Leisenring, PA on October 12, 1932.  She graduated in 1950 from Redstone High School.  After moving to Ohio in 1960, she worked at the Finney Company in Bedford and retired from Little Tikes in Hudson March of 2005.  After retiring she worked as the greeter/receptionist at Footnotes Dance Academy. Lil loved to sing and was blessed with a beautiful voice she used in the church choir, duets with her husband, Chuck, the Heavenly Blend and with the children of Walton Hills Church of Christ.  Miss Lil taught Sunday School and worked with Christian Endeavor and the youth of the church.  During that time, she wrote and directed many talent shows, programs for Mother Daughter banquets and wrote poetry.  She was a member of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School class and a deaconess, active in the Women’s Christian Service group and taught Vacation Bible School.  Lil, being an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, could give you any and all information about her team.  She loved Sundays when the family would gather to watch them after church. She had parties for all of their championships and Super Bowls.  Lil loved her Pomeranians – all of which were named Tessie.

She was the Best Mom and “Mudder” to her children, Rebecca Rae Russ (Armon) and Charles Wesley Williams II (Kathy) and Ga-Ga to Sarah Rae Sarka (Matthew), Michael Russ (Nichole Notarian), Abby Hall (Eric) Emily Glontz (Ethan) and Charlie Williams III.
Lil is survived by her husband of 69 years, Charles Wesley Williams I, brothers Clayton (Joyce) (Peggy deceased) Washabaugh and Gerald (Pat) (Marjorie deceased) Washabaugh and sister in law Shirley Washabaugh (Ivan.)  Great Ga-Ga to Loghan, Lincoln, Landon, Hayleigh, Griffin, Colton, Chase, Sammy and Cameron. Aunt and Great Aunt to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Rachel (Kastner) Washabaugh and siblings Hobart (Hazel), Norman (Barbara), Eugene (Irene), Ivan and her beloved sister Ruby (John.)
