Maria A. Prentiss

Maria Ann Prentiss (nee Skarupa), age 83, of Bedford, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by love. Maria was born in Cherry Valley, PA to the late John and Mary Ann Skarupa.  She was the loving mother of Russell Sypen; caring grandmother of Kara and Blaise Sypen; adoring great grandmother to Levi and Lucy, and friend to those lucky enough to know her. At various times, a caring mom to a few dogs, a few cats, many fish, two turtles and a chicken. Relatives and friends received at OUR LADY OF HOPE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 400 CENTER ROAD, BEDFORD, OH ON SATURDAY MARCH 9 from 10 A.M until 11A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery.  No flowers please per the request of the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Maria to the Cleveland Clinic Leukemia Program.
