Marilyn L. Bamberger

God called a remarkable woman, Marilyn (“Lynn”) Bamberger of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, to Heaven at age 96, where she was reunited with her beloved husband of 67 years, George A. Bamberger.

Lynn was a loving mother to Gary (Alane) Bamberger, Gale (Jack) Wasson, and Scott Bamberger; a devoted grandmother to Katie (Brian) Manougian, Marc (Stephanie) Bamberger, Rachel (David) Nowicki, Melissa (Andrew) Sergent; and a cherished great-grandmother to Levi and Adam Nowicki, Luca Manougian, Brynn and Travis Bamberger, and Elodie Sergent. She also leaves treasured friends from Chagrin Falls, especially her “Soul Sister,” Lynn Reboul.

Lynn was predeceased by her husband, George A. Bamberger, and her brother, Louis Quinones. She was a graduate of SUNY Oswego and The Graduate School at Kent State University. Throughout her career as a special education and elementary school teacher in Chagrin Falls, she enriched the lives of countless students through her compassion, dedication, and belief in every child’s potential.

Born and raised in Brooklyn Heights, New York, Lynn treasured the memories of her cherished childhood and the experiences that shaped the remarkable woman she became. She carried that warmth, curiosity, and appreciation for life throughout her years. Among her love for travel, some of her happiest memories were created with family and friends at the family cottages on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and at Tappan Lake of Ohio, where she enjoyed the beauty of nature, time with loved ones, and the simple joys of being together.

Lynn loved Chagrin Falls and was fiercely devoted to her family and friends, whose love and happiness were always at the center of her world. Her resilience, wisdom, and endless curiosity created a legacy that will live on through the generations she cherished so deeply. Through a love for classical music, a voracious reader and lifelong learner, she continued seeking knowledge well into her 90’s, even attending continuing education classes. She delighted in many lifelong friendships, most recently the new friendships she made at Hamlet of Chagrin Falls. Lynn was a master Bridge player and cherished the camaraderie she shared playing Bridge with so many friends over the years.

A natural leader throughout her life, Lynn made a lasting impact in her classrooms, within her family, and through the many community organizations she faithfully served, holding several leadership roles for decades. Most recently, she served as President of the Resident Committee at Hamlet of Chagrin Falls, where her dedication and commitment continued to enrich the lives of those around her.

Her absence leaves an immeasurable void for family and friends alike, we will carry her wisdom, kindness, and endless love with us forever.

As an advocate for animal shelters and in honor of her love for rescuing furry companions throughout her life, the family suggests donations to Rescue Village Animal Rescue in Novelty, Ohio, in lieu of flowers.
