Mary C. Fussner

Mary Cis Fussner, 86 passed away Monday October 17, 2022, surrounded by her family. Mary Cis was born March 5, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio to Eddie and Helen Boesken. Mary married Tom Fussner in 1956 and together they raised 5 children, Tom (Bonnie), Eileen, Linda Campbell, Brian, and Craig (Julie). Mary was a loving grandmother to Kevin ( Lynn), Katie (Pete), Lauren, Corina, Becky (Clayton), Kelly (Ryan), Ryan (Alexandria), Megan and Monica and great-grandmother to Colton Fussner, Charlotte Fussner, Cecilia LaRose and Eleanor Fussner.  Mary was an avid Cleveland Indians baseball fan and could tell you what the most recent score was and where they were in the standings. She also loved to bake and was famous for her delicious chocolate chip cookies! Mary loved to read and worked at the Aurora Library and Little Professor Book Store. Mary Cis loved her church and she and Tom were active member at The Church of the Holy Angels, guiding many young couples in their Pre-Cana classes. Mary was one of nine children, seven of them girls and one brother. She is survived by her sisters Eileen Weber (Dave), Sharon Fleischer (Gene), Bonnie Discovich (Sonny), Carol Boesken, Ann Link (Denny) and brother Eddie (Jeanie). She is predeceased by her husband Tom and sisters Helen Rogowski and Susan Bytheway. Visitation will be on Friday October 21 from 4:00-8:00 PM at St. John Funeral Home, 16381 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 8:30 AM, at the Church of the Holy Angels, 18205 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls 44023 (Please meet at Church). Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Church of the Holy Angels Building Fund.
