Moises Tributante Olvido, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born in the Philippines on July 12, 1939, Moises was one of 6 in a close and loving family. From a young age, he showed a remarkable curiosity and talent for understanding how things worked — qualities that guided him toward a lifelong career in engineering.
He began his distinguished professional journey as a mechanical engineer for Boeing in Seattle, Washington, where his dedication, precision, and ingenuity helped shape his early success. After a few years in Seattle, Moises moved across the country with his devoted wife, Josephine, and their two young sons, eventually settling in Cleveland, Ohio, which became their cherished home.
He continued his engineering career with Morrison Knudsen, where he served as one of the project mechanical engineers and helped with the construction of Anheuser-Busch facilities in Fort Collins, Georgia, and other locations. Though his expertise earned him opportunities to lead international projects, Moises chose to remain close to his family — a reflection of his deep devotion and love for those dearest to him.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Moises will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and zest for life. He loved spending time with his beloved wife, Josephine, with whom he shared a beautiful love story — filled with dancing, traveling, laughter, and enduring companionship. He also enjoyed golfing, playing chess, reading, and singing, and brought a quiet strength and kindness to every moment shared with family and friends.
Moises is survived by his children Abraham, Gloria, and Jonathan, and his cherished grandson Nathan, who brought him endless joy and pride. Moises will now rest eternally beside his beloved Josephine, where they will surely continue their dance together — graceful, joyful, and full of love — just as they always were in life.
