Philip A. Leuty

Philip A. Leuty, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026. He was born on August 5, 1934 and grew up in Mayfield, Ohio. Philip was the son of a farmer and that began his passion for agriculture and being outside on his tractors. He started his nursery in the late 1950’s in Mayfield, Ohio, and it grew into a sixty-five plus year business in Novelty, Ohio. Philip was a graduate of Ohio State University and enjoyed watching all of the football games. He also enjoyed antique tractors and spending time with his family, who he loved deeply. Philip also deeply loved his cats at the nursery, Nutmeg and Buddy.

Philip was preceded in death by his father Joseph; his mother Constance; and his brother David (Helga, deceased). He is survived by his wife Nancy (Wootton) of almost sixty-six years; his son Joseph and daughter Pamela (Vince).

Cremation. Private services will be held at a later date.
