ROBERT “BOB” A. COWEN SR., age 80, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Jane; son, Robert of Cleveland, OH and daughter Rachel (John) Walsh of Warren, OH; grandchildren, Erin and Megan Walsh of Warren, OH; cousins, Jon (Becky) Werner of Mentor, OH and Wendy (Mark) Rohm of Eastlake, Ohio. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and cousins, Joyce (Wayne) Werner and Tim Werner. Bob was known for his extreme work ethic and dedication to Pharmacy as well as his true appreciation for family and friends. He was a member of the Kappa Psi and Pi Kappa Phi fraternities. While working at Stonebraker Drug Store, he joined the Cleveland Academy of Pharmacy, Ohio State Pharmaceutical Association and American Pharmaceutical Association. He also served as President of the East Cleveland Kiwanis Club and prior to that served as the Program Chairman as well as the Drug Chairman. After leaving Cleveland, Ohio in 1986 he began working at Rite Aid Pharmacy in Clay, West Virginia. Bob was an avid hunter and one year even scored a trophy winning buck. He could be found during hunting season with his best friend R.B. Legg. Private services will be held at a later date.
