Ronald G. McDowell

Ronald Gary McDowell, age 71, passed away on June 23rd, 2026. He was from Hiram, Ohio and lived and worked in South Florida for the last six years, which he loved. Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and spent many years of commitment to community service as a leader in the Fraternal Order of Eagles and as a referee for middle school, high school and college basketball and volleyball in the greater Cleveland area. Ron was also a life-long Indians baseball fan.

Ron is survived by his wife Claudia McDowell; his children Sean McDowell, Ryan McDowell (Sarah), Ian McDowell, and Laura Lytle (Rob); grandchildren Robert and Emma Lytle; brother Bob McDowell (Evelyn) and friends Phil and Fred George.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for his family and his close friends.
