Sandra L. See

Sandra Louise See (Turner), age 80, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 10th, 2026. It is surely no coincidence that she passed on Mother’s Day as that was her most celebrated title. However, she was more than a mother to just her 3 daughters. She mothered many in her community and proudly wore the title of “Nana” to 8 beloved grandchildren.

Sandy was many things. She began as a proud country girl, originally from Mill Village, Pennsylvania where fire hall square dances, and corn roasts were a source of great joy. She went on to major in Business at Penn State and later married her soulmate, Gary. They shared a dream of building a home and family in a small town, lake community. They found that in Lake Louise, Chagrin Falls. She worked tirelessly alongside Gary, often volunteering in the shadows for a multitude of organizations for the betterment of their cherished Chagrin Falls community.

Sandy made all things good, all things beautiful, and people in her presence feel good. Whether it was decorating a drab space or cooking the most delicious meal with precision and love- she brought sunshine, gratitude, and positive energy to everything she touched.

She prioritized her family with every moment and every decision. She became a full-time taxi for her grandchildren and never turned down an invitation to their many events. She never missed a school program, band concert, play, piano recital, basketball, track, tennis, volleyball or cheerleading game. She could always be found arriving 30 minutes early to ensure her family had the best seat in the house. And remarkably, she had the uncanny ability to make every grandchild feel like they were the best at everything they did.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary G. See, as well as her parents Ethel and Robert Turner, and sister, Joan Brown (Floyd). She is survived by her sister Roberta Brown (Scott). She is also survived by her daughters Courtney Polcar (Jeffrey), Lindsay Watson (Jason), Ashley O’Hare (Ryan) and 8 grandchildren Garrett Polcar, Avery Polcar, Gavin Watson, Brayden Watson, Piper Watson, Riley O’Hare, Tobin O’Hare, and Quinn O’Hare. Another important person includes a most teasable brother-in-law, John See. Sandy was also a cousin, and aunt to many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. She was referred to as “Mama See” by many “surrogate” children and friends in her community.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at 3pm at The Federated Church of Chagrin Falls, 76 Bell Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, 44022. A reception and receiving line will immediately follow. Private burial preceding. Flowers could be sent to The Federated Church at 76 Bell Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, 44022.
