Sigmund was a U.S. Army veteran for the 1st Cavalry from 1948 to 1950 and served in Japan at the end of World War II. He was a teacher at Maple Heights High School. Sigmund and Rae’s 68th anniversary was the day after Sigmund’s passing on Veteran’s Day. Sigmund was an avid lover of music. He also enjoyed philosophy, reading, teaching, camping, fishing, nature, cooking, skiing, and treasured his family, students, and friends. All services private.
