On Monday, January 4, 2021, Stephanie Jean (Work) Schonauer, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away at the age of 72.  At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by love and family.

Stephanie was born on December 1, 1948 in San Francisco, California to Ralph Hallis and Loretta Denver (Brown) Work. She received her Associates Degree from Lakeland Community College in 1990 and worked for several Northeast Ohio manufacturing companies. As a representative of Swiss+Tech Products she made numerous appearances on the home shopping network, QVC.  Stephanie’s last professional passion included working for CCP Industries located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Stephanie left San Francisco in 1968 to work for the National Park Service at the Grand Tetons as a children’s storyteller. It was there she met her first husband and moved to Northeast Ohio to begin raising her family that included a son, Andrew, and daughter, Erica.

Stephanie and her husband, Richard Schonauer, eloped on August 25, 1997.  The ceremony was led by an Elvis impersonator and held at the Las Vegas Wedding Chapel in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. An avid traveler, she shared that interest with both of her children and grandchildren culminating in a European family trip during the summer of 2018. She was a master planner, entrepreneur, business owner, artist, landscape practitioner, ailurophile, and stick-shift loving convertible sportscar enthusiast.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Hallis Work, her mother Loretta Denver (Brown) Work, sisters Shirley (Work) Stephenson and Charlotte (Work) Goebel, and nephews James Goebel, Robert Galva, Lloyd White III, and Brian Masters. She is survived by her husband, Richard Schonauer, her two children Andrew White (Heather), Erica White, and four grandchildren Alexander, Jacob, Olivia, and Cade White.
