Susan T. McIntyre

Susan T. McIntyre, age 88, of South Russell passed away on July 9, 2026, after living with Alzheimer’s disease for more than 12 years.

Susan was raised in Euclid, then raised her family in both Euclid and Rocky River. She relocated to Redmond, Washington in 1988, where she worked for Protection Mutual Insurance Company as an underwriting manager. After retiring in 2003, she moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she lived until 2013.

The only child of two artists, she developed a love for arts and classical music at a young age. Susan had a beautiful singing voice and was a member of several church choirs throughout her life. Her love of travel was also cultivated at an early age, when she lived for a time in New York City; as an adult, she traveled with her family throughout the U.S. and in Europe.

Above all, Susan was the devoted mother of Cheryl Williams (Greg), Stephen Yarcusko (Grace), Alan Yarcusko (Lisa), and John Yarcusko (Michael Lee); grandmother of 16, and great-grandmother of 17. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. McIntyre.

Family and friends are welcome to St. John Funeral Home, 16381 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023 on Thursday, July 16 from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. with a funeral service at 12:30 P.M. Burial to follow at South Russell Village Cemetery.
