Visitation Tuesday, March 1 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the St. John Funeral Home, Bainbridge Twp.  A memorial service will be held  at the Valley Presbyterian Church, Chagrin Falls, on Wednesday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m..  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Valley Presbyterian Church. THOMAS RICHARD SCHERR, age 83, of Chagrin Falls passed away after valiantly battling amyloid heart failure for several years. Beloved husband of Kay (nee Troth) for 12 years and the late Karen (nee Winters) for 38 years; loving father of Thomas R. Jr.  (Linda Mae) and Lynne Scherr and step-father of Christy (Mario) Khouri and Lindsay (Mike) Sisley; dear grandfather of Meri and TJ. Veteran, U.S. Army. Tom graduated from Rutgers University in 1960. He was credit manager at Republic Steel for 17 years and Alcan Corp. for 23 years.  Tom was a trumpet player, played tennis and was an avid golfer. He loved life, his family and was a friend to many.   Friends received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 16381 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (RT. 306), CHAGRIN FALLS, 44023 (2.5 MILES NORTH OF RT, 422), TUESDAY, MARCH 1 FROM 6 – 8 P.M. A memorial service will follow at the VALLEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 17560 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (RT 306), CHAGRIN FALLS, 44023, ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2 AT 11:00 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Valley Presbyterian Church.
