William, "Bill," "Chip", by whatever name you know him, you’d likely know him as a storied man with dark, flickering eyes, excited by the finest wonders in life. Born to the strapping William S. McConnell, Sr. and the beautiful, fire-eyed Audrea Irene Diehl, he came up in the snow laden hills of Bedford, Ohio surrounded by brothers Tim and Terry, cousins Clapper, and til her own end, his Granny Diehl.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Audrea, his brother Terry, and his daughter Angel. He leaves behind an unknown number of children but of certainty William III, Brandy Dozier and Elizabeth Ambush, grandchildren William IV, Cecelia, Justin, Julianna, Piper, Talia, Farrah, Lachlan, his brother Tim and family and his late brother Terry’s family.
Born of a long line of railroad-loving metal workers and engineers, his penchant for the same lead him from working aboard grand Naval ships, to enjoying big block American muscle cars, and into the wilds of the American West on roaring hand-honed Harley Davidsons where (thanks in part to his presence) the torch of living the human edge burns brightly still. He appreciated the bounties of the earth from coarse to rare, and found most happy amongst nature, lungs full of salty sea air.

“They can kill me, but they can’t eat me.”
